The Delphi definition of dyslexia

It is now expected that assessors should map their findings to this definition and refer to it in a diagnostic assessment for dyslexia.

Screening Assessments

A first step towards understanding learning and developmental differences

Taking the First Step

I offer screening sessions for dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and DCD (dyspraxia).

These short, informal sessions are designed to explore potential areas of difficulty, helping you gain a better understanding of individual needs and identify appropriate next steps.

Each screener takes approximately 30 minutes.

Why have a screener?

A screener can help to identify the likelihood of a particular SEND need and suggest if a full diagnostic assessment is necessary.

It can provide early identification and can help target support.

Please note: A screener does not provide a formal diagnosis and is not sufficient on its own as evidence for exam access arrangements or a Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) application.
